Transfer: Falcons defender Plumptre refutes reports that he would be joining Manchester United
Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre has revealed that her next club will be outside England.
Plumptre is a free agent after leaving Leicester City at the end of last season following the expiration of her contract.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Manchester United, who are one of the biggest clubs in England.
The centre-back has, however, said her future lies outside England, even as she refused to reveal the name of her new club.
“I am actually going abroad. I guess some people don’t think that because there’s been a lot of rumours,” she told Eagles Tracker.
“Making the trip to play abroad again, be away from my family is obviously a big thing, but I have a lot of fire in my belly about what I want to do with the people that I believe in like my coaches.”
