Bandits kill one, abduct six in Sokoto community

The Sokoto State Police Command has confirmed that bandits killed one person and abducted six others in Tursa village, Rabba Local Government Area.

The attack occurred in the early hours of Tuesday.

The Command’s spokesman, Ahmed Rufai, said the assailants invaded the village and set ablaze a house where the victim was burnt.

Rufai said other properties, including motorcycles, were burnt while some livestock were also rustled.

He added that the state commissioner of police has ordered a manhunt for the suspected criminals and promised to give more updates on the development as it unfolds.
