Former Real Madrid midfielder, Victor Sanchez has been hired as replacement for Gus Poyet, after he was sacked by Real Betis following the club’s slump in form.
Real Betis has recorded four losses in their last five games, with the former Sunderland and AEK manager at the helm.
The LaLiga club sits 14th on the table due to their poor form and the club faithfuls threatened to boycott games until Poyet was relieved of his duties.
Poyet signed a two year contract with the LaLiga club in May.
Sanchez, whose last job was at the helm of Olympiacos, played for Madrid during the 1990s and was an eight-time Spain international.
His first game in charge will be a clash at home to Las Palmas on Friday.
