On Wednesday, April 18, President Muhammdau Buhari has made a statement that generated a huge reaction from Nigerians especially among the youth.
During an interview in the United Kingdom, the president had made a statement that implied Nigerian youths are lazy.
The president has claimed that the youth in the country refuse to make efforts to succeed because they depend on crude oil being produced in Nigeria.
This statement did not sit well with many Nigerians who took to social media to express their disappointment about the statement. Nigerian singer-songwriter Charlyboy has also made his intentions about the lazy Nigerian comment known.
Charlyboy recently shared a post on his Twitter timeline, describing President Buhari’s son, Yusuf, as a lazy person. In his post, Charlyboy stated that Yusuf is an unemployed man who live sin a free house and eat free food.
He wrote: “This is Yusuf. He doesn’t like to work. He stays in a free house, eats free food and rides a power bike all day long.
If he has a headache, he flies a chartered or presidential plane to some of the finest hospitals to treat himself for free. He is a lazy Nigerian.Don’t be likehim.”
