Residents of Ilaro, the headquarters of Yewa South Local Area of Ogun State, have sought the intervention of Governor Dapo Abiodun after the Odo Fufu road collapsed over the weekend.
The Fufu stream in Ilaro used to have a mini bridge over it for convenient human and vehicular movement within the metropolis, especially for students and staff of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro.
Gists Villa learnt that the dilapidated bridge finally broke down over the weekend following a downpour. To avert vehicles plunging into the stream, residents have since barricaded the road, calling on both the state and federal governments to come to their aid.
