West Brom are considering a swoop for Charlton striker Ademola Lookman, according to The Sun
The Sun writes that Nick Hammond has been keeping a close eye on Lookman as Albion prepare to do business in January.
He’s made 40 league appearances since bursting through into their first-team last season, and chips in with his fair share of goals – Lookman has netted eight thus far.
Able to play anywhere from on the wing to a central forward role, the Londoner has also featured twice for England at under-20 level.
Salomon Rondon has impressed, but adding a young attacker with pace to take over from Berahino – if the 23-year-old does leave The Hawthorns – should be a priority for the Baggies
Competition is fierce, with the report adding that both Crystal Palace and Chelsea have been interested in Lookman recently, but the Baggies will hope to beat their Premier League rivals to the teenager’s signature.
