It seems like Usain Bolt is really determined to make the transition from the Olympic track to the football pitch.
The Jamaican will reportedly travel to Germany to train with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.
Speaking in a Guardian interview, Bolt revealed that he had started making plans to fulfill his dream of becoming a professional footballer, “We’ve genuinely been talking to people.” The newspaper reports that the Olympic champion has been in touch with Dortmund coach, Thomas Tuchel and will travel to Germany to train with the team for a couple days.
Bolt has always said he hoped he’ll get the chance to one day play for a Premier League giant “For me, if I could get to play for Manchester United, that would be like a dream come true. Yes, that would be epic.” He said.
Speaking about the attributes he believes would help him make the transition from athletics to the football pitch, he said “I think I would be pretty good because I am fit, I am quick, I can control the ball and I understand all of the play.”
