Roma defender, Antonio Rudiger, has touched down in London to complete his £36m move to Chelsea.
The Germany international has agreed to sign for the Premier League champions, despite late interest from Manchester City.
He is due to undergo a medical before completing the move this week.
Blues boss Antonio Conte, has settled for Rudiger from a wishlist that had Virgil van Dijk, Leonardo Bonucci and Jerome Boateng.
Rudiger starred for Germany, as they won this year’s Confederations Cup.
He will now become Conte’s second signing of the summer, after Willy Caballero arrived on a free transfer from City.
