Bayern Munich is prepared to make Alexis Sanchez its highest-paid player.
The Bundesliga champions are offering the player £350,000-a-week, to lure him from Arsenal and beat Manchester City to his signature.
Bayern will then offer Arsenal £40million for Sanchez, who has one year left on his current deal.
It is understood that Sanchez’s agent, Fernando Felicevich, has already held talks with the German giants and they are confident of getting the deal done.
Sanchez, speaking on international duty, said: “I’m looking at what my agent is doing. For now, I’m focused on the [Confederations] Cup in Russia and trying to do well.
“The truth is that my agent will see to it. He knows and he will sit down with the club to look for the best option for me. I’d like a lot of things but I’m only thinking about the national team.”
