Man City are pondering a move for Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, reports Calciomercato.com.
The Brazil international €30m buyout clause in his contract with the Serie A champions, that runs until the summer of 2020.
However, it is understood that Juve are hoping to increase the value of the 25-year-old’s release clause at the Juventus Stadium.
His current release clause stands at a bargain £25.6million but this will rise to £40m if he strikes new fresh terms with Juve.
Brazil international Sandro would provide City with the pace, power and technical skills required in Guardiola’s system, although the Spaniard has a number of aces on his shopping list.
Former Barcelona youngster Alex Grimaldo is a target, although Benfica are demanding £38.5m.
Valencia favourite Jose Gaya has also been identified but he would cost a staggering £45m.
