Rasheed Gbadamosi, a former minister of national planning, has died at the age of 72.
Gbadamosi, who was a leading industrialist, economist and playwright, died on Wednesday, November 16.
It was gathered that he suffered from multiple strokes since last year and had recently gone abroad for medical treatment.
His death was also confirmed on social media by Steve Ayorinde
, Lagos state commissioner for information.
The commissioner added that his remains would be interred on Thursday (today) afternoon.
Before his death, Gbadamosi had co-chaired the Lagos at 50 celebrations alongside Wole Soyinka, a Nobel laureate.
He was chairman, Ragolis Water Ltd., AIICO Pension Managers and Lucky Fibres Nig. Plc.
He was also a former chairman of Bank of Industry.
On the political front, Gbadamosi was also a former chairman, Petroleum Products Prices Regulatory Agency.
