The Community Shield match between Arsenal and Chelsea, will take place on August 6 at Wembley Stadium.
This was confirmed by the Premier League on Thursday.
The game is usually between the league winners and the team that won the FA Cup and is observed as the traditional curtain raiser, ahead of a new season.
This year’s edition will kick off at 2pm and will be shown live on BT Sport.
Each club will receive approximately 28,300 tickets.
Manchester United are the current holders of the Community Shield, but finished sixth in the league last term.
